End Of 2011 Update

Hey Fourscore Fans,

We hope that you all had a Merry Christmas, and that you have a Happy Holiday season. FSS has been very busy recently, working on getting different projects done for the studio.  The most exciting of these has been the obtaining of some new gear. The Studio is proud to announce the addition of four new microphones, odds and ends studio gear, and most excitingly the addition of Reason 6, to the software of the Studio! All of these new additions will be a great help to the studio, and the projects. FSS is looking forward to working on bigger and better projects in 2012! Stars Above the Trenches

Darkness clouds my thoughts

Smoke I breathe into my lungs

Rats scurry about my feet

There is a foreboding silence

Until I hear a weary whisper

“Do you wonder how it all will end?

Is there a God that would allow this to happen?”

I shake my head.

“I don’t know. All I know is nothing will ever be the same.

Sometimes I too wonder what I’m fighting for.

Then I think of my family.

They’re all I have-all I am. I would die for them.”

The stranger in the shadows sighs.

“I dreamed that while I lay here, my soul flew to the stars.

I never felt such hope before then.”

The troops gather readying to cross into no man’s land

I touch the shoulder of my fellow soldier,

seeing the light in his eyes.

“Run out with me as if your heartbeat

were the flapping of your wings.

We shall see each other’s courage in the night.”

He nods. “Until we meet again, my brother.”

Sunrise greets our footsteps

I am no longer earthbound

All I see is my children

As if in a vision, running to embrace me

Their love rushes invigorating my spirit

Until my body falls into sleep and my spirit awakens

The last vision is of my fellow soldier lying beside me

Until the dawn breaks and we go on.

Poetry Contest 11/3-11/11

The Poetry Contest: 11-3-11 Through 11-11-11

Hey Four Score Fans, we are going to be doing a poetry contest for the next week, the winner will get there poem featured on a track done by our very own, Alex Nusbaum. The Rules are simple; write a poem that takes about two minutes to read and tells some sort of short story. Writers may enter as many times as they want, but only one poem will be chosen. Send poems to our Email Fourscorestudios@gmail.com with a subject of “Poem Contest”. Poems must be turned in by November 10^th and the winner will be announced on November 11. We look forward to reading your poems, and may the best writer win!

Welcome, we are Four Score Studios

Hello my name is Alex Nusbaum, and I am the head manager and audio engineer for Four Score Studios. This blog is going to be used to help Four Score Studio Fans to keep conected with what is going on with Four Score Studios, as well as share secret inside scoop on the behind the scenes of projects of the studio. Some back ground on Four Score, we are a portable recording studio, as well as a production company, dedicated to assisting independent musicians looking to record and share their music with the rest of the world. Four Score Studios was born in the fall of 2011 after my sound cloud site name was copy righted by another studio. Because of this I was asked to give up the name, which I was more than happy to give to them. So I needed a new name for a sound cloud, and it was than that I decided that instead of just creating a new site to promote myself, that I was going to create a studio. And so out of a random occurrence I decided to create this studio as a college project to test not only what running a studio online is like, but also to also try to help make and share music that my friends and me create. I hope you choose to follow us on this journey, the support of the fans of this studio, and the work of our recorded artists, and our prompted artists, means more than anything to my creative team and me.  Stay tuned for more information about our projects and our music.
